Patriotic Wreath from Clumsy Crafter1 4th of July Patriotic Wreath

This was not what I had envisioned for this wreath at all when I started it. But I knew that I needed to get a 4th of July wreath up on the front door sometime before the 5th of July and somehow I think I like this better than what I had planned when I began.

I used burlap, chevron printed burlap ribbon, two flags and an old grapevine wreath frame that I keep tearing stuff off of and redoing again and again.  In fact the wreath frame isn’t the only thing that’s been reused. Can you tell what else I have used on a previous wreath?

If you look hard you might notice that the bow and burlap were from the Rustic Christmas Wreath. This is why it pays to be a craft hoarder. After being in the direct sun for way too long the moss on that wreath had turned grey and so I tore it apart a few months ago and kept what I could while tossing the rest.

Because I saved what I could and bought the flags on sale on memorial day, this wreath cost me $7 in supplies. The flags were $2 for both of them and the chevron ribbon was $5 at Hobby Lobby.  Sometimes it pays to use what you already have. Except now I have to buy new flags because the girls are mad that I used “their” flags.

My front door is pretty and ready for the upcoming 4th of July weekend with this Patriotic Wreath.  Are you ready?

I’m pinning this to my Patriotic Awesomeness board and to my Wreath Obsession board. Leave me a comment below telling me where you pinned it.  You can also show me your crafty Patriotic wreaths by using hashtag #ClumsyCrafter when you post on social media.
